// my birthday todayyy = fun times !
I’m picking out new music with my $50 iTunes gift certificate and I neeed suggestions…
so far the only two songs I’ve bought are:
you, me and the bourgeoisie by the submarines and
around the bend by the asteroids galaxy tour.
so lovely kind iTunes, I discovered, gives you song recommendations based on the songs you buy, just like amazon does with books, and it seems to be quite good at it because I like all the songs it suggests, so far.
I think next I’m getting under violent objects by neotropic and l.e.s. artistes by santogold…what next?
and also for my birthday…I got a large box of those little fun size bags of candy to complement the 2kg bucket of lollipops I got from my secret santa. (: MUSIC & CANDY MAKE ME HAPPY <3

//SOPHIE = UNCOOL :’(
so everytime I write something else useless and terminally boring on here, I forget whatever I last wrote three months ago, so each post sounds really like…
I’ve actually just forgotten what I was talking about. HA HA!
I’m so BORED
you’re probably bored too, so why don’t you glance at this rad picture of me and my friend looking sophisticated together!
guess which one is me!

//iTunes + my hbc rewards card ;]
so I FINALLY got an account on iTunes, which makes me really excited, because now I can get the free singles of the week. ha! yeah, I didn’t actually want to buy anything. one cd would cost me two hours of babysitting a pair of under-5 kidlets, so I’m fine just listening to the 30-second clips over and over again. yup. so anyways…what? oh yeah, the first not-real-money purchase I made was free single of the week Next Best Thing by Divine Brown. the little artist bio on the side says that this genre is neo-soul, which sounds interesting. it’s a pretty song. you should go get it too. :]
speaking of free stuff, my hbc rewards card came in the mail yesterday.
isn’t it cute? it has my name on it and everything. I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do with it, but it looks nice in my wallet so I don’t care. you’re my new bestest friend, hbc rewards card! <33333

//fredflare+baskin-robbins
these are so cute…I’m actually not sure what they’re supposed to be. little russian nesting dolls maybe? I want them, whatever they are. also, yesterday I caught this little candy at a parade, and I don’t know how baskin-robbins did it but it tastes exactly like ice cream. individually wrapped, cookies + cream ice cream. yum yum. I need to find somewhere that sells them in bulk now…hey wow, I just noticed they’re sugar-free, too…also, I found this website while looking up the baskin-robbins candy that extensively reviews all kinds of sweets and chocolate bars. who this person is I’m unsure, but it’s really funny to read their posts, because they discuss the taste of candy like an epicurean analyzing a bottle of wine. is this a career? I should look into this. “Really sour, then pleasantly floral, kind of like eating a not-quite-ripe strawberry and then a ripe one … or maybe some limeade with some strawberries in it.” “The caramel reservoir is centered under the little dome, a peanut butter layer with some nuts mixed in. The peanut butter is a bit salty, which balances the sweetness of the milk chocolate and caramel. The caramel is far too gooey and without any actual flavor of its own … no buttery component, not burnt sugar flavors.” Candy-Blog

//first edition!
the first copy of SOPH magazine has been released as part of my spring assignment for english this year…I want to try to scan in the pages so I can have it online. it’s only like eight pages long, but still an accomplishment of large proportions for sophie the eternal procrastinator. I was originally planning SOPH to be a bunch of interesting quotes/poems/stories I liked, but it ended up being mainly pictures. of stuff. cute stuff! yeah. so I need to redo the ‘literary hodgepodge’ tagline up there. because unfortunately, turns out I’m not very literate after all.
